Niger Delta University 4th Convocation Ceremony

The Niger Delta University Wilberforce island, Bayelsa state  has schedule to host their 4th convocation ceremony, 
 Vice Chancellor of the  Niger Delta University Prof.Humphrey Ogori on behalf of Senate, Management and the entire University community invites the Public, Parents, Guardians and in particular Graduands to the 4th Convocation Ceremonies of the Institution which have been scheduled as follows:

1. Commencement of convocation Gowns

 Monday,13th April, 2015: commencement of collection of Academic Gowns.
     
2. Convocation Thanksgiving Service

 Sunday, 19th April 2015; interdenominational church service:
  venue: lecture theartre, main campus at 9:00 a.m

3.convocation Press Briefing by the vice-Chancellor

  Monday, 20th April, 2015: convocation Press Briefing by the vice-Chancellor at 12:00 noon

4.convocation lecture

 Friday, 24th April, 2015:
    i. convocation lecture
    ii. Topic: Instability in the oil Market, challenges and Opportunities by
           Mrs. Diezani Alison Madueke,  Minister of Petroleum Resources

venue: handball pitch, main campus 
Time: 5:00pm

5. commissioning of projects

 Saturday,25th April 2015:


    a. commissioning of Projects by His excellency, hon. Henry Seriake Dickson  9am-11am

    b. conferment of degrees                                                                                          11.00am 


Convocation for the Award of First Degrees, Post Graduate Degrees, Diplomas, and Award of prizes for Academic performer
   i.conferment of Honorary Degrees 
   ii.conferment of First Degree/Diplomas


Convocation was last held in NDU(Niger Delta University)Since 2009,that is been Six years ago. and now the present V.C has made it possible for it to be held once again.Convocation is a whole lot of celebration all the way after the struggle and hustles

Information for Graduand

 School graduands will be required to pay the sum of N7,500 for gown

Prizes and Awards

Prizes and awards will be announced during the Convocation. Recipients will collect their Awards/Prize value on presentation of a letter of Award at the convocation ground.
